- XFIG - Facility for Interactive Generation of figures under X11
- ===============================================================
-
-
- Xfig is a menu-driven tool that allows the user to draw and manipulate objects
- interactively in an X window. The resulting pictures can be saved, printed
- on postscript printers or converted to a variety of other formats (e.g. to
- allow inclusion in LaTeX documents).
-
- This file contains some notes about installing xfig, the directory
- 'Examples' contains some example figures and the 'Doc' directory contains
- some further documentation including the manual in troff -man format.

- EXTRA NOTES FOR AMIGA INSTALLATION:
- ===================================
-
- To run XFig, you need DaggeX (I used Version 0.22). You also need to
- copy CompkeyDB to usr:lib/x11/xfig/ (make a Directory usr, the further
- Directories and an assign usr: xxyyzz/yy/usr to it :) ). CompkeyDB is
- to be found in the src Directory. Copy xfig to bin and then have fun!
-
- Attention: I didn't test the Xfig binary very much, because I had
- a lot of troubles compiling it. The main problem was that Imake
- didn't work for me and I had to remake the Makefile (I got Exit Code
- 33 because of an unterminated string od character constant).
